Dr. Armenti is one of those priceless athletes who represented Steinert well on the field during
his high school days, and did so even more impressively off the field in adult life. While wearing
the Green & White, Dr. Armenti played varsity soccer from 1963-65 and baseball from 1964-66,
earning All-City accolades in each sport. He captained both squads during his senior season,
leading them to the state tournament and powering the soccer team to a state co-championship.
In the summers, Dr. Armenti helped the Hamilton Post 31 baseball team to two state championships
and the Mid-Atlantic Regionals for two straight years.
After his standout career at Steinert, Dr. Armenti played varsity soccer and baseball at
Brown University. He earned Brown’s Edward Weeks Award for athletic leadership as a senior.
After obtaining his degree in 1970 from Brown, he earned his MD degree from the New Jersey College
of Medicine in 1978. From there he embarked on a career of greatness that surpassed his exploits
on the athletic field. He is currently chairman of the McLaren Regional Medical Center’s
Department of Surgery and Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology in Flint, Michigan.
