LISA CESARO-SHALTIS

CLASS OF '91

YEAR OF INDUCTION: 2006

Lisa will have a place in Steinert history that no one can ever take away, as the first female basketball player to score 1,000 points in a Spartan uniform. Lisa earned 12 varsity letters during her years at Steinert, and was All-State and All-Colonial Valley Conference in basketball, soccer and track and field. Although track and field was third on her list of things to do, Cesaro-Shaltis was still a standout in the long jump, 400 hurdles and javelin, and at one point shared the javelin record with a teammate.

Lisa then went on to star for Trenton State College in soccer for four years and in basketball for three. Cesaro-Shaltis played for two NCAA Division III championship soccer teams at TSC, and was captain of the 1994 national champion. She earned All-State honors on the pitch.
