DOUG MARTIN COACH YEAR OF INDUCTION: 2010 While helping his student-athletes to achieve their goals, Doug Martin helped keep the atmosphere lively and energetic, a challenge he met for nearly four decades without missing a beat or a meet. It was fun for Martin, too, as he enjoyed endless repartee with countless athletes and coaches while having a hand in a win total approaching 1,000 among the Steinert's cross country, indoor and outdoor track programs. He also earned numerous Coach of the Year honors from area newspapers in the process. Martin, an employee of Hamilton Township for 39 years, including 34 as a coach, is a man known for his high levels of fitness, success and buoyancy.
