JERRY MIGLIACCI

YEAR OF INDUCTION: 2013



Jerry graduated from Steinert in 1963 and played three years of varsity basketball under Coach Jim Wilno Sr., two years of varsity baseball under Coach Dick Leber and one year of varsity football under coach Wilno. He was all-city in basketball and baseball in 1962 and an all-conference selection in 1963. As the starting shortstop, his 1962 baseball team won the first New Jersey Group Three Central Championship in school history. Jerry also played summer ball for Hamilton Post 31, under Coach Steve Carney for three years as a starting infielder.

Jerry took his talents to the campus of the University of Pittsburgh where received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and was a starting guard for the varsity basketball team for two seasons.

After college Jerry played 30 years of softball, winning many championships, mostly with Lestician Trucking. His love for the game of softball led him to coaching his granddaughters.

Jerry is a consultant for an agricultural research company after having been a research chemist for 37 years. Jerry is married to his best-friend Carol and they reside in Columbus. Jerry and Carol have three daughters and son-in-laws and seven grandchildren.
